Coaching can help you make changes in your life when you are feeling stuck, dissatisfied, and/or burned out. Too often we give up power by thinking that we have none. Coaching helps you identify what areas in your life and work (often inseparable, with blurry boundaries) need change and why. Only you can make these changes, but it is hard to get started sometimes as you may have noticed. Inertia of rest is powerful, and we get used to daily dissatisfactions. A coach can help you create a vision, a goal, a plan, a strategy— and break these down into workable steps. A coach can keep you accountable and enthusiastic. While on your side, a coach can candidly tell you what behaviors, assumptions, and steps might not be working for you.
It's simple. I start with the assumption that you know your life and your capacities best, and I am here to help you expand on these capacities. I am here to stand by you and provide perspectives gathered from my industry, nonprofit, and academic work that spans two decades and two countries. I have multiple graduate degrees including a PhD that focuses on intersectional gender issues across time and spaces, spanning the personal and public, balancing work and life. I am here to share evidence-based research and practices that will help you take steps towards the kind of professional, creative, and personal life you have always wanted.
I won’t push for perfection nor impractical visions. We are still bound by socioeconomic structures that are restrictive for most. We are still navigating the duality of individual and institutional struggles. I will help you navigate, plan, strategize, and act until centering you and your needs becomes a habit. At that point, you will not need regular coaching because you will become your own coach and advocate. Getting you there is my goal.
